Over the weekend I was sitting out on my deck with a cold adult beverage, as I enjoy doing both in moderation and in excess. Depends on my mood. I leaned back and looked straight up at the sky. One of the clouds above me looked a little odd. I looked closer and started to see a face on the cloud. I whipped out my phone, pointed it skyward and snapped this photo:
I put my phone away and didn’t think about it again until last night when I went to take a look at the photo. Sure enough, it looks like there is a face there staring back at me. But it wasn’t just any face, it was a face I seemed to recall from somewhere in my past.
Could it be a long lost relative? An old coworker? Maybe someone I went to school with as a kid? No, it’s none of those. Then it started to become more clearly…. I’VE GOT IT! SANTA CLOUD CLAUS!
But after looking a little closer the Santa image sort of went away and it didn’t really look like the big jolly fat man anymore. It still looked like SOME jolly fat man, just not the one who comes around once a year to give us goodies.
Actually no, it doesn’t really look like a man at all does it? It looks more like a puppet. Wait a second… I know… it’s an ALBINO COOKIE MONSTER! YES!
But like a mirage, shortly after spotting Cookie Monster within the cloud it was back to just being a cloud again. Too bad, because that Cookie Monster dude and I have some serious shit in common. Mmm… cookies.
So I kept staring, and I kept thinking. Who is this cloud face? Then suddenly it came to me and it was obvious. It was the drunken, cigar smoking, leprechaun-looking dude I bumped into at the bar last St. Patrick’s day!
I think his name was Drunky McShea. Or something like that.
Oh, clouds and PhotoShop… how you amuse me.
